Oh my oh my. Where did the time go?

I am very sorry to report that my brain has been elsewhere for the time being. But I am making that glitter and learnin that nurse stuff. I decided to start posting stuff I am learning that I find interesting on here. I am going to title it: WHAT I AM LEARNING and you will know that it is what I am sarcastically taking out of my lessons. Because even though I am really taking in vital information, haha vital get it? ... No? ok Well I am still finding stuff super interesting on how it relates to my life on some other weird personal level. Like tonight for instance, I posted some posts form a class. THERE ARE SEVEN freaking journals I have to read before I take a damn quiz. Yeah seven. But I found humor in a couple of them. hehe. SO I posted them. But for those of you who don't log onto the FBook or don't have access to my page, I am posting two for your humor pleasure tonight.

The first journal I had to read was on encopresis, which if you don't know what that is either Google it or consider yourself lucky you are layman. The next one is about enuresis. Which is a medical term for wetting the bed later than you should. The part I found funny wasn't the actual terminology, it was the fact that this serious journal actually posted this:

"Giggle incontinence is a very rare form of
daytime wetting described as complete bladder emptying with
extreme laughter. This condition occurs almost exclusively in
females ages 10 to 20 years.

*HAHA yeah I was like, haha poor girls. That usually happens to like women after they have babies right? Because they haven't strengthened their kegal muscles after they had a baby and the pelvic floor is mush. Speaking of which: http://www.kegelexercisesforwomen.com/ :) you are welcome

Ok so a few journals later I have to read this looooooonnnng 10 page activity thingy by MedScape about sleep and stuff. We all know I don't sleep. And when I do, it's crappy interrupted sleep. Working variable shifts, school, stress, etc, whatever causes me to have crappy sleeping patterns. Lately within the past 9 months I have developed circadian sleep disorder. My therapist told me it takes like 6 weeks to get back to a normal sleep cycle. HAHAHA! ok good luck. But as I was reading this info I was shocked to see the huge potential risks I am up against!

"In addition to the circadian system's effect on sleep, studies of patients with circadian dyssynchrony have demonstrated links
with cardiometabolic abnormalities, obesity, breast and other
cancers, diabetes, depression, and gastrointestinal disorders." http://www.medscape.org/viewarticle/740931_4

Yikesey yikes yikes!!! I am so super screwed!  This study says its due mostly to SWD Shift Work Sleep Disorder. "Patients with SWD might report diffuse symptoms described as "fatigue," "tired," "sleepy," and "drowsy." See now everyone who gives me crap for being tired all the time leave me alone about it!

So as I bid you adieu, I will leave you with this thought: Sleep is good. You should go get some. As for me, I have to work a grave tomorrow and I have way too much homework to get thru tonight soooo I will not be joining any of you. Good night.

xoxo, D
